Weird font in Safari for Windows???

I just downloaded Safari for windows XP and the font on every page is really weird. It's like the sort you find in certain comics - very compact, very small, very dark, very much bolded. I checked the preferences and the standard font is Times New Roman and the Compact Style Font is Courier New. Even when I change these, nothing happens. However, certain areas of the screen are in normal Arial font. What should I do??? I really hate this font. Even when I am typing this question, it shows up on my screen in the same weird font???? Please help!!! Who should I contact?

  1. Remember that this is BETA software, meaning it's still in a testing phase. There is likely an option either in the browser or on their webpage to report it. However, since some fonts are meant only for Windows and others are only for Mac's, the webpage may be instructing the browser to display a font your computer doesn't have, so it's using what it considers the next closest option.
  2. i know we all love apple, but i would not use safari even if they made it for windows. use firefox, its the best. other then that i can recommend is see if the browser has the option to zoom in, and see if this happens on all of the website you visit.
  3. Menu bar > Edit > Preferences > Appearance You'll see options to change the standard font (Safari is Times New Roman 12, while IE is Verdana) Times New Roman is a common font, most often used for formal educational papers and newsprint typeset.
