- You must copy it to C:\Windows\Fonts and it will automatically be installed and ready to be used
- im not sure
- Sounds like the font isn’t installed properly… Go to Control Panel and then go to the Fonts folder. Then locate the fonts you want to install (in the drives or folders list) and select the fonts to install. To copy the fonts to the Fonts folder, make sure the Copy fonts to the Fonts folder check box is selected.
- Fonts come in many varieties. Standard, True Type, Type II, etc. One possibility is that the font you've chosen isn't supported by the software that you're using. This happens frequently when trying to use a True Type font where the software was expecting a Type II font or you're trying to use a Type II font when the software doesn't even know what Type II is. Just because its correctly installed on your computer doesn't guarantee that the software that you're using will support it. I ran into this problem when trying to deliver marketing materials to the print shop. I created a whiz bang brochure using True Type fonts, only to find out that the print shop only supported Type II fonts for this application. Under these circumstances, the system will usually use a built-in system font as the default. That's why you're seeing something other than what you expect.
