Google AdSense sabotage?

I've read AdSense's ToS regarding invalid clicks / aritificial clicks / cheating et al... but how will they know if its a sabotage? What if some bad bloke has decided to visit a certain site with AdSense and then he would click every single ad there is, so that it will reflect to Google as "cheating" — thus having the account suspended or worse, banned. Does Google have a sort of security measure for AdSense users against these kinds of attacks?

  1. There are lot of parameters which can be validated to ensurethis. You can read abt it here http://technofriends.wordpress.com/2007/08/17/how-does-google-knows-if-you-are-a-adsense-client-and-clicking-on-your-own-ads/
  2. YES -- Google understands that some publishers can be "attacked" in order to get banned. And they have measures in place to protect the publisher From Google Adsense Help Center https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=32869&ctx=en:search&query=sabotage&topic=&type=f ------------------------------------ What can I do to prevent sabotage? We understand your concerns regarding invalid clicks. In order to prevent abuse of the AdSense program, Google utilizes both automated systems and human reviews to monitor clicks on the ads. Google's technology analyzes clicks to determine whether they fit a pattern of invalid use intended to artificially drive up an advertiser's clicks or a publisher's earnings. A good way to ensure that you do not create invalid clicks is by reviewing and remaining in compliance with our Terms and Conditions and program policies: In addition, you can review your site's traffic logs for suspicious activity and notify us with any findings. This information can help us in resolving any issues, although as outlined in our Terms and Conditions, Google will use its sole discretion when determining instances of invalid clicks. ------------------------------------ If you suspect you are being sabotaged -- e.g. your income, CTR are significantly higher than normal (normal daily earnings is $50 then all of a sudden you earn $2,500 that day), check your log files and alert Google Adsense immediately.
