website design?
i live in the uk and i have been asked to develope a 3 page website, my problem is how much should i charge to do it this is my first website and i need some price range answers p.s. i am developing it in flash

- It really depends on how much you're looking to have included in the flash file. If you want a full content mock-up and not just a few "key information" pages then you're looking at something in the $200USD range. I'm sure if you head over to getafreelancer.com you can find someone willing to do it for around $50USD (₤25 GBP)
- try to ask your customer for the price, thats what i did when i developed my first website....... if the customer is really satisfied with the website then higher pay if not low pay
- How much do you want to charge for it. It's really your call. And since your using Flash, it'll probably take you a little more time than regular HTML or dynamic HTML. In America, a consulting company charges their web developers a minimum of $25 per hour.
- Hi there, I'm not really sure what you should charge for a flash site, I can however tell you what I charge for regular html / php based sites I design... For a basic 3 page layout with no content added I charge $150, that includes background image, header graphic and menu buttons should they want them. If they want scripts installed and formated to match their site, like forums, links directories, article scripts, etc. I charge an additional $50 per script (if they choose a script that is not free, the price of the script is tacked on as well). That does not include shopping carts, I charge $300 - $500 for a custom shopping cart design. If they want a standard (no flash) 3 page site with no scripts and me adding their content for them it's a flat $300. Hope that helps at least in giving you an idea to start off with.
