What is a better laptop, Apple or Windows, for light video editing and website design?
I am looking to buy a new laptop and would like to know if an Apple or Windows based laptop would be better for video editing and website design. Also any other information I should consider would be helpful like memory size and speed... Thanks

- windows
- Light video editing...i would use windows b/c it is cost effective. Now, if you are doing it for school or professional use...i would use and Apple b/c Apples are BUILT for multimedia creation (flash cartoon, heavy video editing, audio editing etc.) Lord of the Rings was edited on a MAC :)
- Apple, hands down! I used an Apple for advertising projects and they turned out beautifully!
- Apple laptops are excellent for graphic design, editing, and any kind of internet design in general, so for your needs, Apples would suit. I'm not sure about the memory size or speed, but I guess it varies from model and/or laptop to laptop.
- Well, it all depends on prsonal preference. Here are the facts: Macintosh is better for graphics editing, their video cards are great. But they are not user friendly, the programs are very difficult to use if you don't know what you're doing. My advice to you is to go get PhotoShop and buy a Windows Vista laptop.
- they say apple is best but WINDOWS is definately better it does have more memory and faster
- Website design can pretty much be done on anything, but Apples are probably better for video editting. iMovie is an ideal tool for anybody to easily edit films, Final Cut Pro is a great professional option. For the regular computer user, Windows app even comes close in either case.
- Windows, Windows. for everything windows is better, the only thing that is better in a mac is that they are less likeley to get a virus, but that is it.
- I would go with an apple. Apple is known to be very useful in video editing. Alot of people who use video editing software use apple because Apple has more features, and is more efficient in speed and quality rather than Windows.
- I want to know that mostly with what you are familier with .it would be easy for you to choose. If you are familier with windows than now a days it's available good laptop with good hardware. you can choose Core 2 Duo processor and DDR-2 Ram. It will really speed up your work.
