Im thinking about starting a company to do website design for gentlemans clubs how would i be liable?

I was asked to design & host a website for a strip club....once the site is designed and uploaded the strip club will have administrative access to upload pictures whenever they want...i was wondering if i would be liable for anything that the strip club does ie pics of possible underage dancers....this is in mi....

  1. You built the website and put it together, after that, your job is done. Unless they want you to do contract work, your job is done. Now, the only way you would be held liable is if your name is on there.. so if your worried about it, dont put your name on there anywhere. That and make sure the financial information about the website is in someone elses name.
  2. As long as you are lead to believe the content is fully legal you are not liable. However just to cover yourself you could put a discalimer somewhere on your site stating that you are not responsible for harmfull, offensive or illegal content on the website.
  3. An attorney can help you. When you structure the agreement, use language that will protect you from such things. You want to be work-for-hire, just like their hosting company, plumber and parking lot sweepers.
