How do I change the font color of my items on my desktop?

I go to Properties/Appearnace/Icon area, but all I can do is change the size and font style. I can't seem to change the color of it. My font color is clashing with my background and want to change it to black font, but it won't allow me. I've seen people's desktop titles underlined too, any suggestions on how that is done as well. I've done the right click, properties, advanced route, but all I can do is change my font style, but not the color I do see the "colors" box for the Item and the Font Style, but all 3 color drop down windows are grayed out. All I can do is Bold and Italic

  1. alright go to ur desktop right click hit properties go to appearance then hit adavanced and change what needs to be changed.
  2. After you go to Properties/Appearance/Icon area, then click on advance and you should see a drop down box for colors.
  3. The underlining is because they have single-click-open selected under Folder Options, so the titles are underlined ala URLs.
