What is the best font to use for typing an official letter?

I have a letter to type and print, just wondered what the best font was to use. I know this is a very mundane question, but it is one I need an answer to. Thanyou in advance

  1. Times new roman size 12.
  2. Some "crisp" fonts that look good for letters include Arial, Times New Roman, Garamond, and Georgia. I prefer a 12-point font, but many use 10-point. See what you think looks best.
  3. Arial - 10 or 12 pt. It's easier to read than Times. Most people like Times New Roman b/c it's the Default setting for Word. Just b/c it's default doesn't mean it's good.
  4. Arial or Times New Roman size 12 is standard professional.
  5. arial is the plainest thing to write letters with
  6. Arial ttf
  7. Veranda
  8. I always use Ariel 12. I type professional letters daily and they're all with that font. It's easy to read and very clean.
  9. The best font to use when typing an official letter is Times New Romans
  10. Size 12 Times New Roman. I work in a law office and that is the font that we use.
  11. curier new
  12. Format it using Times New Roman or Arial in a 12 point size using 1.5 line spacing. Make sure the vertical alignment is at top and the horizontal alignment is at the left. This will make it look very professional looking and make sure to do a spell check and make sure it says what it needs to say. The spell check doesn't pick up everything, so you need to read it and make sure it says what it needs to.
  13. as a person studying art and typography i have a huge collection of fonts, and have studied when to use them. Times Roman or Times new Roman on a MAC is good for MLA format, actually required by some, but you could go with Calisto, Baskerville, Optima or Bernard if you want to say "i am professional but not a conformist"
